This Editorial Policy explains the standards used when preparing and updating content on Replicases.
Accuracy
Important factual details such as model references, dimensions, movement specifications, materials and release information should be checked against reliable sources where practical.
Original Omega Specifications
Specifications belonging to an original Omega watch must be clearly distinguished from claims concerning a replica version. A replica should not be described as using a genuine Omega movement, certification or material unless that claim can genuinely be established.
Original Writing
Articles should provide original explanation, comparison or analysis rather than merely replacing words in material published elsewhere.
Sources and Attribution
When an external source contributes significant reporting, research or first hand information, attribution should be provided where appropriate.
First Hand Experience
Writers must not claim that they bought, owned, handled, tested or attended the launch of a watch unless the experience actually occurred.
Corrections
Material factual errors are reviewed and corrected when appropriate. Significant updates should reflect genuine improvements to the article rather than a date change alone.
Editorial Independence
Replicases is independently operated and is not affiliated with Omega SA or the Swatch Group.
